ALLIGATOR WAITING

The “Alligator Waiting,” photo was taken on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina in April 2008. My vacation trip to Hilton Head was filled with delays from bad weather, but my reward was a nice unit over looking a small lagoon, filled with birds, turtles and an alligator. I had a new camera, and was anxious to use. What nice subjects to focus on!
Whenever I appeared on the deck the turtles and alligator would swim over, to beg for food, and I was very accommodating.
This picture was taken from the deck: The bluish cast in the water is from a light oil film on top of the water. The alligators jaws appeared to be wired, because he rotated his head sideways to eat.
