My photgraphy is an eclectic blend of style and substance. Sometimes I will have and idea for a shoot and on the way I see something else that inspires me. I spend the rest of the day working on that inspiration. With luck I'll return the orginal idea, but oft times I develop new ideas and work from those.
The photos in my gallery represent examples of my style and the way I look at objects, landscapes, and events. My approach to event photography is to capture the event as it happens, not as I want it to happen. I use a long lens to capture individual moments unposed. I try to stay transparent so as not to influence the interactions and reactions of the people in attendance.

I entered a contest to shoot my dream assignment which would be to chronicle what it is like to live in California. I lost badly, getting only 4 votes. I guess no one wanted to know what it is like to live in California.
